Planovi prikazuju da bi prvi komercijalni brod na daljinsko upravljanje mogao zaploviti do 2020. godine, za samo godinu dana (Rolls Royce white paper \u201cRemote and Autonomous Ships\u201d,2016).<\/li>\n<li>EMSA procjenjuje da je u Europskoj uniji oko 254.000 pomoraca (EMSA, Seafarers statistics in the EU, 2014) i izme\u0111u 25.000 i 35.000 studenata u pomorskoj edukaciji i treninzima (MET).
